EMMA WATSON BIOGRAPHY

Emma Watson was born on April 15, 1990 in Oxfordshire, England to parents Christopher and Jacqueline Watson (both lawyers) (divorced). She has a younger brother named Alex (b. 1993).

She participated in plays while at school (Headington, an all-girls school) as a young child such as Arthur: The Young Years and the Happy Prince. This was the only acting experience she had before appearing on the silver screen.

Her big break came when she was selected for the role of Hermione Granger in the movie adoption of J.K. Rowling's book Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. This was her first professional acting role and the movie was a smash hit.

She has also co-starred in the following two Harry Potter movies (Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban) with the fourth movie (Goblet of Fire) due out in later this year. She is currently working on the adoption of the fifth book entitled Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix with co-stars Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) and Daniel Radcliff (Harry Potter).
